Glorious weather!

We’re finally getting some good highland weather here at Jinkers Way. Some magnificent white mornings. It feels so good to have some refreshing ice on your coat. Betty is looking absolutely splendid with some white frosting on her shiny black. Did you know that Coos have 2 coats? We have a long overcoat which is weather-proof, and an undercoat that thickens up in winter to keep us warm. Fortunately, we ditch that when the weather warms up. So that’s why we enjoy the frosty mornings so much.

Pete seems to be back to being noisy again. It looks like he and his friends are building some fancy barn in the other paddock. I wonder if it will be our new lodgings. I hope it doesn’t have a roof. I can’t believe hoomans block out the beautiful sky at night when it is the most spectacular. You should see how many stars there are here at Jinkers.
He has also been wandering around picking up poo. Pete the Poo Picker. No idea what that’s about, but he seems to like picking up what we are putting down. (Lola thought that was pretty funny).
For those of you reading along at home, our Scots Gaelic word for today is reultan (pronounced ryal-tan). This means stars.
Lola was out for a roam,
The hounds were lounging on foam,
When along came a frost,
The warmth it did cost,
Now the Coos are feeling at home!
Wisdom of the week - A lie is half-way roon Scotland afore the truth has its boots oan. Fake news travels fast, truth needs fact checking, so be careful what you say or repeat. When we first arrived, Lola told the hounds that I was a maniacal raging bull. Can you believe that? It has taken me months to convince them that I just want to play.
Anyway, that’s it from me for today, and until we next meet, Lang may yer lum reek.
