You’ll never guess what happened. Rachel took us on an adventure through a new gate and around to a different feurach. Lots of fun. Betty and I did some zoomies up and down the hill, Lola the crazy lamb came for some fun as well.

That was all good, but the best part was that when Rach took us back to our paddock, she had left the new gate open! We figured this was just because she likes us and wants us to be happy. So off we went exploring. We found new plants to eat, long grass, short trees, so much good eating!! There we were, minding our own business, eating whatever we could find when Pete comes up. He had some treats in his hand. He held them out, then walked. So we followed. Next thing you know, we finally catch up to him, but we are back in our own paddock with the magic gate closed!!! I’m not sure I can trust that guy. Maybe I’ll call him Sneaky Pete.

A special shout out to my new friend Winnie! She is adorable and an awesome duck finder. Thanks for coming to visit Winnie and bringing your mum.

So what have I learned this week? If a gate opens, go and explore. People spend so much time worrying about “what if it goes wrong?” Be more like a Coo and ask “What if it goes right?” Same coin, different sides.

Wisdom of the week – A kicking mear ne’er proved fair. Early behaviours should be paid attention to and not explained away. First behaviour is often best behaviour, whether in business or personal as people are consciously putting in effort that can’t be sustained. Be wary of early poor behaviour. As we come up to 3 months at Jinkers, Rach and Pete have almost completed their probation period and we’re giving them good marks. If Rach would just release the strings on that treat bag more often they could score even higher.

That’s it from me for today, and until we next meet, Lang may yer lum reek.
